COMMUNITY EVENT: A Celebration of Nostalgia and Community. Varsity Rocks On was a heartwarming afternoon that brought together community in a vibrant celebration of nostalgia, food, and entertainment. The event showcased classic cars, rock n roll music, dancers, and food trucks with various cuisines and ice cream. Charity Duck Race

COMMUNITY CAUSES: All the ducks were lined up in a row to see who would be the first one to the finish line. It was a great community day and event organised by the Rotary club of Burleigh Heads and helped by many other community organisations and supporters. These included the very enthusiastic Kokoda Youth Challenge kids herding the ducks, Currumbin RSL hosting the event outside its premises, local councillors, and everyone that sponsored a duck. Broadbeach Superhero Weekend

Broadbeach hosted its annual Gold Coast Superhero Weekend, a celebration of pop culture incorporating Supanova Pop Culture Expo, Gold Coast Film Festival, and lots of action packed events including a cosplay parade through the heart of Broadbeach. Here are some highlights of some of the sights, colours, and personalities.

Pacific Pines Winterfest 2015

The streets of Pacific Pines were transformed into all sorts of festivities as the community celebrated Winterfest 2015. Thanks to the Pacific Pines Residence Group for organising the event and to Councillor Tracey Gilmore of Division 5 for funding, the event was a huge success and many people got to enjoy a great variety of entertainment, rides, activities, and attractions.
