OCT 16 - 18 | Broadbeach CBD and surrounds | FREE Music Festival

Groundwater Country Music Festival (CMF) gathers some of the best country artists in the industry for three days of FREE live music on the Gold Coast. Following the massive success of previous years – where the festival brought together close to 60 artists, 135 shows, and thousands of country music lovers – Groundwater CMF has proven itself as a standout event on the Australian Festival calendar. Set only steps away from the iconic golden beaches of Broadbeach, there’s no other country music festival quite like it.

Glow Festival

The Evandale Parklands was thrown into spectrums of lights, colours, music and action as some of the Gold Coast’s creatives launched into Glow 2015.  Portia Large was there to cover the spectacle and talk to people as they enjoyed the illuminated night of entertainment, activities, artworks, and displays.  Lanterns were launched across the lake in a landmark creative community project called watershed.

Surfers Paradise Sand Safari

Surfers Paradise Sand Safari Arts Festivals take centre stage on the sands and streets of Surfers Paradise. It is Asia-Pacific’s leading sand-and-sea-inspired arts event, with an exciting program featuring free sand sculpting workshops, Australian Sand Sculpting Championships, and much more.

We met Internationally renowned UK artist Luke Egan (aka Filthy Luker) and viewed his vibrant collection of inflatable creatures, stretching from Surfers Paradise Beach, along Cavill Avenue and into the Nerang River.
