COMMUNITY CAUSES: All the ducks were lined up in a row to see who would be the first one to the finish line. It was a great community day and event organised by the Rotary club of Burleigh Heads and helped by many other community organisations and supporters. These included the very enthusiastic Kokoda Youth Challenge kids herding the ducks, Currumbin RSL hosting the event outside its premises, local councillors, and everyone that sponsored a duck. LIVIN Concert Fundraiser

The Lyrical, Jackson Dunn, and Tokyo Beef joined forces at Mo's Desert Clubhouse to raise funds and awareness for Livin. A great turnout and event in a new creative space in Burleigh Heads. Here are some of the highlights and information about www.livin.org.au

Pedal Against Child Abuse

Local Endurance athlete Damien Rider rode 260 km from Noosa to Surfers Paradise on a 100 kg Rickshaw as the first of 3 challenges to raise awareness against child abuse. We were there at the finish line to congratulate him and get his thoughts.

Child Abuse Awareness Week

The purpose of the Child Abuse Awareness Week was to create a strong community awareness, and a movement to inspire and support others giving them a voice to help transform their lives against and beyond child abuse.
