Dean Cogle Portrait Prize
The Dean Cogle Portrait Prize is an annual competition and exhibition held at Dust Temple, Currumbin. A special thanks and congratulations to 2020 winner Louise Smith, and 2019 winner of Rebecca Cunningham for the interview and insights.

EXHIBITION
Silence in Colour, Exhibition by Tania Blanchard
The exhibition was titled ‘Silence in Colour’ and was anything but silent on an evening where a large crowd gathered to see and experience Tania Blanchard's first solo exhibition. It was officially opened by celebrity and much loved television presenter Shelly Craft, and included guests of affluence in the arts and culture scene including ARIA award-winning singer-songwriter Amy Shark who purchased her own piece.

Gold Coast Music Awards
The red carpet was rolled out along the beach side of Surfers Paradise for the Gold Coast Music Awards. Emm caught up with some of the finalists before the award ceremony and live entertainment on the big stage.

Surfers Paradise Sand Safari
Surfers Paradise Sand Safari Arts Festivals take centre stage on the sands and streets of Surfers Paradise. It is Asia-Pacific’s leading sand-and-sea-inspired arts event, with an exciting program featuring free sand sculpting workshops, Australian Sand Sculpting Championships, and much more.
We met Internationally renowned UK artist Luke Egan (aka Filthy Luker) and viewed his vibrant collection of inflatable creatures, stretching from Surfers Paradise Beach, along Cavill Avenue and into the Nerang River.
Glow
The Evandale Parklands was thrown into spectrums of lights, colours, music and action as some of the Gold Coast’s creatives launched into Glow 2015. Portia Large was there to cover the spectacle and talk to people as they enjoyed the illuminated night of entertainment, activities, artworks, and displays. Lanterns were launched across the lake in a landmark creative community project called watershed.

Art Exhibition @ Miami Marketta
The Miami Marketta hosted one of its Wednesday evening art exhibitions featuring artists Tamara Armstrong, Sabine Bannard, and Sam Randall in conjunction with their regular midweek Tapas Club. There were plenty of people enjoying the great art, atmosphere, food, and music which Heidi Pozzan went to experience first hand and talk to the artists. Here are some of the highlights.

Kate Miller-Heidke at BLEACH* Festival
Regional Botanic Gardens, Benowa

Multi-award-winning singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke mesmerised the audience in the surrounds of the Regional Botanic Gardens as part of BLEACH* Festival 2022.
